Q. Introduce yourself!
​
I'm Lystrialle and I'm a self-proclaimed collaborative project enthusiast 😅 I'm actually a bit "late to the party" when it comes to Digimon, having gotten into the franchise in mid-2007 rather than at the beginning of the decade, but I fell hook, line, and sinker and haven't been able to escape since then. I'm also a lover of all things music, and I swear this franchise has far better music than it has a right to.
I love many things from the franchise (I also love Savers, Appmon, and Cyber Sleuth), but 02 is one of my favorites! My usual creative body of work doesn't really give me a lot of opportunities to do much for it, so I'm glad to be able to do something like this after almost 14 years.

Q. What's your favorite thing about 02?
​
I really like stories that have a strong focus on relationships between characters, so it's probably not surprising that I ended up getting so attached to this one. I think having people who are truly important to you and can emotionally trust is one of the most wonderful things in life.

Q. Who's your favorite character?
​
Miyako, but I would adopt the entire cast in a heartbeat.

Q. Is there anything in particular you'd like people to look out for, in terms of your work on the zine?
​
I'm technically the lead, but in practice so many other people were helping carry it that it doesn't feel right for me to take so much credit for it. Personally, I'll be happiest if this zine could properly communicate all of the love all of the participants have for this series. I'm honored to have the opportunity to work with so many wonderful people.

hi i'm fuumi and i love digimon!!!!!! i've been a big fan of digimon adventure for many years, but my undying love for digimon adventure 02 only awakened around 2014 when i decided to watch all of digimon seasons, and ever since then it remained one of my favorite seasons. although not exclusive to 02, as far as fan activity goes, i've hosted a few digimon fan projects and participated in a couple as well!! although i don't feel like i'm an integral part of the fandom because i don't speak up often since i'm pretty ˢʰʸ, i've had the great honor to be invited to take part in this project and for that i am endlessly thankful!!!! ðŸ˜ðŸ’ž

Q. What's your favorite thing about 02?
​
there are many things that come to my mind at this question. i generally really enjoy works of fiction with a lot of characters where different bonds are explored, but i feel like there was something more to 02! besides making the characters feel very human with their inner conflicts, what i came to notice only now when i gave it a thought is that there was a lot of grief present in the story -- ken losing his brother, iori his dad, and oikawa his best friend. in a way i can't explain why this made everything feel so much closer to me, but i also get the feeling i know the answer somewhere within myself.
throughout the whole show, grief was the moving force of disarray and chaos -- both digimon kaiser's and oikawa's actions were driven by it. yet in the end, it was overpowered by feelings of hope created by bonds. this hopeful message really spoke to me and moved me!! i think a lot of people going through loss need that message too.
there are, of course, a lot of other things i could add as to why i love digimon adventure 02 - i could go on for hours crying about every one of the characters in this show, but i'll leave it at this since i already wrote way too much.

Q. Is there anything in particular you'd like people to look out for, in terms of your work on the zine?
​
i think i would like for people to look out for the feelings etched in my drawings in the zine! whether they are feelings of happiness and bliss or grief and loss, i hope that i was able to portray them well through the characters!

Q. Introduce yourself!
​
I'm K, also known as takerusfedora. Among other things, I'm in charge of the graphic design for the zine itself. I pretty much jumped on the opportunity to do this when I understood there was a vacancy. I have a formal background in design and I really enjoy doing this particular sort of work.
I watched 02 when it first aired in Latin America in the summer of 2001; it's a gorgeous series that changed my life and I keep coming back to it. This project is making me relive the very best of it, so it's been a great time.

Q. What's your favorite thing about 02?
​
I could be rational and list every single thing I love about 02, from the silliest to the deepest (which I've done repeatedly along the years). In the end, it's something that goes beyond simple explanations. 02 just fills me with indescribable joy. It has so much heart and a way of making me feel things that speaking about the wonderful characters, relationships, themes and etc. just wouldn't do it justice.

Q. Who's your favorite character?
​
You're making a doting mother pick her favorite child lmao. I do have a soft spot for Miyako - she's hilarious, relatable, and far more complex than she seems at a glance. In general, Miyako is criminally underrated and deserves more love than she gets.

Q. Is there anything in particular you'd like people to look out for, in terms of your work on the zine?
​
My job as a book designer is to make everything look its best, so I will first and foremost ask you to please enjoy the content. Everyone poured so much love into this zine it's almost unreal, so if I manage to highlight that, I will consider it a success. For something a bit more personal, please don't gloss over the small details! Those seemingly insignificant things were really enjoyable to me, so I hope you guys enjoy them too.

02 has a sweet way of bringing out the best in everything it touches, and this zine is no exception. This was a labor of love and an extremely fun project to work in and it shows, both in the quality and the heart of the finished product. Thank you for your support <3

Q. Introduce yourself!

Hi, I'm Ni/digitalgate02 and I'm working on the promo stuff, but also contributed with an illust, sketch and the sticker set coming with Fighter and Paladin tiers. My digi-gate to the franchise started officially with 02 (when I was a kid) and since then I felt in love with digimon in general. I also like other digi-series like Frontier, Savers and Appmon 💖 but 02 had a huge impact in my life as the series I watched the most.

Q. What's your favorite thing about 02?
​
There's a lot of things I like in 02, such as the characters, the Adventure lore which got expanded there, the art style and backgrounds, the armor and jogress evolution, the dynamics between each group... But I think what made a huge impact in my life was how they became a group -- especially how Ken joins in. Episode 26 is the one that caused a big impression about the theme of the series, and later as a teen and adult. Daisuke's kindness conquered my heart, and I also like the other two jogress duos. Miyako is relatable to me in ep 31, Iori's journey to reach Takeru was enjoyable to watch. The first half is my favorite part because it shows the group as a whole, but I learned to appreciate and love the second half too -- Ken's redemption, Arukenimon & Mummymon, Agumon and BlackWarGreymon talk, the worldwide Chosen Children... Not that I disliked those before, I only needed to revisit it to understand which what I did recently in my adulthood.

​
Everyone! But mostly Daisuke & V-mon!

Q. Is there anything in particular you'd like people to look out for, in terms of your work on the zine?
​
The stickers have little extra details on them, the original idea was about making all six with different types of ice cream, but it was expanded to sweets/desserts in general. One of them is a straight reference to a certain minor detail from an episode, but I won't tell what is to not ruin the surprise~ 😗
